I Carried You
A chapter about infertility, loss, and moving through grief.
five paintings
Releasing July 17, 2026
I was 16 weeks pregnant...
when my doctor couldn't find my little boy's heartbeat anymore. This was my second loss in as many years, but it was the first time my family knew what was happening. Two years of infertility, and my husband and I had been facing it all alone.
Miscarriage is devastating. Infertility is isolating. So many women struggle with these things quietly. The endless appointments, the feeling unsure of your future, the actual loss - it all takes a toll on the dreams you had for your life.
Chapter 1 of the nature diaries is about loss, the way it has changed my perspective. It's also about choosing hope when there is no evidence for it.
While everyone’s experience with grief and fertility is so different, my goal with these paintings is to give a voice to other women who have struggled. If that’s you, I’m hoping you feel seen and understood in this work.
Feel free to reach out to me any time if you want to chat about your own story xx
I've chosen five paintings to convey this message of grief and healing. Each painting is based on real places, relationships, and experiences from the 4 months of my pregnancy. Each piece will be paired with the story, symbolism, and a message of healing.
